LONG-SERVING TRANSCON • This 1979 Ford Transcontinental HA3424 was still going strong in the fleet of Samuel Brothers, based in Edmonton in North London, as late as 1995 when Itookthisshot. Samuel Brothers owned warehousing as well as running a fleet of around seven lorries, mainly on food transport and supermarket distribution. This was one of two Transcons on the fleet. ON THE ROAD IN CHESHIRE • Held on April 30, the 2023 Cheshire Run brought another selection of commercial vehicles to the county’s roads that started off atLymmServices, heading south for abreak at Prees Heath before heading north, primarily along the A49, to afinishing point at Rixton near Warrington.
