PERPC Women’s Day • The Port Elizabeth Rifle & Pistol Club (PERPC) hosted its second women’s day on 25 May. A total of 16 ladies attended the day, which covered a presentation on situational awareness, self-defence, and a shooter introduction on the range.

It is a tourist mecca that attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors every year and is commonly referred to as ‘Scotland’s Only Outpost in Africa’. SAPRF PR22 National at Atlantis • They say that there are only two things in life that you can be sure of, namely death and taxes. Well, living in the Western Cape you can also rest assured that the wind will blow. With this certainty in mind, I designed the SAPRF PR22 National at Atlantis on 25 May to have slightly larger gongs sizes. These were still on the small size compared to what we have been used to shooting in our provincial and club matches. My rationale was that when the wind picked up, it would make the competition very challenging.
